Nigel Ewington specializes in helping organizations and their people working across cultures. Nigel has lived and worked abroad in such diverse cultures as China, Bulgaria, Finland and Congo and has been involved in providing a broad range of solutions for organizations in the area of managing cultural differences.
These solutions have included seminars in inter-cultural awareness, facilitation for international teams and preparation for international ventures with unfamiliar partners.
He is co-founder and Course Director for Cambridge University's Diploma in Inter-Cultural Management, now in it's 5th edition, and has written all of the Workbooks for the program.
He was a lecturer on the pre-course introduction to management for seven weeks at the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in Shanghai.
Nigel developed a cultural sensitization program for Nokia, a knowledge transfer process across cultures for GlaxoSmithKline, and an international team building process throughout Europe for Volvo.
He has delivered international communication skills programs in Ireland for Seagate Technologies, international negotiation programs for a consortium of Telecom operators, in Germany for McKinsey & Co. and Bertelsmann he has been training for the last 5 years as a international communication lecturer as well as working on a range of individual coaching programs for senior French professionals within the La Poste, CDC, France Telecom, CNP and Christian Dior. He was commissioned to prepare a written communication module for the Central Bank of the Netherlands, a Train-the-Trainer program for ABN-AMRO trainers required to conduct training in various worldwide locations as well as develop a program financed by The World Bank for newly emerging Eastern European managers.
He is responsible for the communication module on McKinsey's Emerald Program with consultants from across the globe and has been an international communication coach for McKinsey for the last 10 years.
He has supported a number of cross-border partnerships in the oil sector, including providing AMEC with consultancy on ventures in Kazhakstan and The Netherlands. Q oil company also uses Nigel to deliver the international communication component of their regular leadership program.
For the last two years he has developed a wide range of international communication skills modules, including remote management, presentations skills, influencing skills and meetings management for Beiersdorf (producer of Nivea products) in Germany.
He works regularly with David Trickey in Italy on international communication skills programs with Le Generali, Electrolux, Telecom Italia, The ENI Group and The Bank of Italy focusing on International Presentations and team management.
He is the original developer of WorldWork Ltd's set of International Competencies and a founding creator of The International Profiler, an international development questionnaire and feedback process, now used by over a 1000 managers from over 20 countries. |
